Cupertino, 23 October 2026 – Apple began retail availability of the iPhone Duo on Friday, one week after opening pre-orders for its first foldable smartphone. The device starts at US$1,999 in the United States and combines an outer display with a larger folding screen designed for side-by-side applications and expanded viewing.
The launch matters to Asian businesses and investors because the region supplies many of the displays, chips, camera modules, casings and assembly services used in premium smartphones. The release date and price are confirmed. The device’s ability to expand the foldable category, lift replacement demand or change Apple’s product mix remains an outcome to be tested through sales and supply-chain data.
