Hangzhou, 22 October 2026 – Chinese artificial-intelligence developer DeepSeek has reportedly raised about 100 billion yuan, equivalent to approximately US$14.98 billion, in its latest funding round. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited and Tencent Holdings Limited were reported among the largest investors. The amount comes from people familiar with the transaction and has not been confirmed publicly by DeepSeek or the named investors.

The reported financing matters to Asian businesses and investors because it would give DeepSeek substantial resources for computing infrastructure, model development and recruitment while deepening the role of strategic Chinese corporations in the country’s AI ecosystem. The size and investor participation remain reported facts rather than company-verified terms, so valuation, governance rights and the final allocation of capital require further disclosure.
