Petaling Jaya, 29 September 2026 – AWC Bhd has secured two automated waste collection system contracts in India’s Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, adding a combined RM13.1 million of engineering work to its cross-border pipeline. The awards cover connections for developments in the city’s Domestic Tariff Area and Special Economic Zone. They are waste-collection infrastructure contracts, not district-cooling work, a distinction that matters when assessing AWC’s technical scope and likely execution risks.
AWC’s indirect wholly owned subsidiary Stream Industries Sdn Bhd signed the agreements with Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Limited on 28 September. The two contracts run for 36 months from the relevant commencement notice or the date specified in it. Their combined value is a contract headline, not revenue already earned. Billing and profit recognition will depend on the timing of notices, installation milestones, acceptance and costs incurred.
