Singapore, 28 September 2026 – UUE Holdings has secured four Singapore power-cable infrastructure subcontracts through its wholly owned Konnection Engineering unit, with an aggregate contract value of S$9.3 million, approximately RM29.7 million at the exchange rate cited in the company’s announcement. The awards cover supply and installation work associated with 400-kilovolt cables and supporting infrastructure. For investors, the development extends UUE’s presence in a technically demanding market, but contract value should not be confused with immediate profit or cash received.
The subcontracts were awarded by Wee Guan Group, with SP PowerAssets identified as the principal for the underlying projects. Konnection’s scope includes materials, labour and horizontal directional drilling for high-density polyethylene pipes used in underground cable installation. This form of work can reduce surface disruption compared with open trenching, although it still demands precise engineering, site coordination and compliance with the principal contract. UUE’s role is a subcontractor within a broader delivery chain, not owner or operator of Singapore’s power grid.
