Kuala Lumpur, 25 September 2026 – Bursa Malaysia Securities has publicly reprimanded Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad after finding that the construction group failed to announce four winding-up petitions promptly, a disclosure lapse the exchange said deprived investors of timely information about the company’s financial condition.
Three of the petitions were filed against wholly owned subsidiary Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd and were eventually announced between 14 May and 16 June 2026. A fourth, brought by AmBank Islamic against Ahmad Zaki Resources and another wholly owned subsidiary, AZSB Machineries, was announced on 6 July. The reprimand concerns the timing of those announcements; it is not a finding that the petitions succeeded or that the company has been wound up.
