New York, 23 September 2026 – Thailand is using its engagement at the United Nations General Assembly to promote itself as a trade, economic and logistics hub for Southeast Asia, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presenting the country as a manufacturing and distribution base for global investors. The initiative places commercial diplomacy at the centre of Bangkok’s international agenda as competition for supply-chain investment intensifies.
During a three-day programme in New York, Anutin is scheduled to address the 81st session of the General Assembly on 24 September and meet political leaders and business representatives. His message combines Thailand’s established industrial strengths with newer priorities including energy transition, investment readiness and closer integration with global rules and institutions.
