Kuala Lumpur, 21 September 2026 – Pekat Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary has signed a conditional agreement to lease about 470 acres in Sungai Petani, Kedah, for renewable-energy development. Pekat Teknologi Sdn Bhd entered the agreement with a Malaysian company involved in oil-palm plantation and investment holding. The lease is planned for 24 years, with aggregate rental payments estimated at RM54.5 million based on acreage and contractual escalation. That equates to a long-duration land commitment, making project timing, approvals, grid access and capital structure central to the investment case.
