Putrajaya, 8 September 2026 – Malaysia is sending a Home Ministry delegation to China’s 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, placing cyber fraud, border control and cross-border enforcement at the centre of bilateral discussions. The visit reflects the economic cost of online crime, which increasingly moves money and data across jurisdictions faster than traditional investigative channels can respond.
Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will lead the delegation from 8 to 11 September at China’s invitation. He is scheduled to meet Chinese Public Security Minister Wang Xiaohong on policing, immigration and border cooperation, and to attend the inaugural conference of the International Alliance for Combating Telecom and Cyber Fraud.
