Kuala Lumpur, 28 August 2026 – Berjaya Corporation Berhad reduced its FY2026 pre-tax loss by about 58% to RM161.41 million from RM388.09 million, even as revenue eased to RM8.99 billion from RM9.38 billion. The improvement reflected lower net investment-related expenses and stronger contributions from property and food retail, pointing to a better operating mix despite uneven consumer and overseas conditions.

Fourth-quarter revenue was RM2.28 billion, compared with RM2.37 billion a year earlier, while the pre-tax loss narrowed to RM79.69 million from RM270 million. Starbucks operations in Malaysia and overseas food businesses improved, supported by store rationalisation and cost optimisation. Property earnings benefited from progress billings at projects in Bukit Jalil, Subang Heights and Penang.
