Wuhan, 26 August 2026 – Mainland China’s premier flash memory manufacturer, Yangtze Memory Technologies Company (YMTC), has officially captured a historic 14.2% share of the worldwide NAND flash memory market, ascending into the global top three flash memory suppliers alongside international incumbents Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, according to recent semiconductor industry market intelligence data.
The milestone achievement underscores the extraordinary resilience and manufacturing velocity of China’s domestic semiconductor ecosystem. Despite tightened international export controls on advanced lithography equipment, YMTC has successfully scaled commercial high-volume manufacturing on its proprietary Xtacking 4.0 architecture, achieving mass production of 232-layer and next-generation 3D NAND flash memory dies with commercial wafer yields exceeding 88% across its fabrication megaprojects in Wuhan.
