Munich, 7 August 2026 – European financial services heavyweight Allianz SE delivered a record quarterly performance for the second quarter of 2026, driven by robust volume growth across its core Property-Casualty insurance division and strong net inflows within its asset management arm. The Munich-based insurer reported a 10.6 percent year-on-year surge in operating profit to a record €4.9 billion ($5.6 billion), comfortably surpassing historical benchmarks and reinforcing the resilience of diversified global financial platforms amid volatile macroeconomic conditions.

Total business volume across the group expanded 5.7 percent year-on-year to reach €45.6 billion during the three-month period ending June, lifting first-half total volume to €98.6 billion. The top-line momentum was anchored by high internal growth in retail property and casualty lines, alongside expanding commercial insurance demand across international markets. Operating profit within the Property-Casualty segment advanced 7.2 percent to a record €2.5 billion, supported by an enviable combined ratio of 91.9 percent. The disciplined underwriting performance reflects improved pricing power and ongoing productivity gains, which effectively mitigated elevated claims severity across select global markets.
