Singapore, 6 August 2026 – Maybank Singapore has joined the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s BLOOM initiative, strengthening the Malaysian banking group’s position in the development of tokenised, programmable infrastructure for cross-border payments.

BLOOM; short for Borderless, Liquid, Open, Online and Multi-currency, is an industry initiative exploring how tokenised bank liabilities and regulated stablecoins can support a more interoperable financial ecosystem.
