Chifeng, 6 August 2026 – Chinese renewable-energy company Envision Group has launched an artificial intelligence data centre powered entirely by directly supplied renewable electricity, demonstrating how clean-energy developers are moving closer to the rapidly expanding computing economy.

The facility is located in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, a region with extensive wind and solar resources. Envision describes the project as the world’s first AI data centre operating entirely on direct green power, rather than relying solely on conventional grid electricity balanced through renewable-energy certificates.
