Yokohama, 3 August 2026 – Nissan Motor Co. returned to a first-quarter net profit and maintained its full-year target, offering early evidence that cost reductions and improving sales can support a recovery after two consecutive loss-making financial years.
The Japanese automaker reported net profit of ¥3.8 billion for the quarter, reversing a ¥115.8 billion loss in the comparable period a year earlier. Revenue rose 9.5% to ¥2.96 trillion from ¥2.71 trillion, helped by stronger performance in selected markets and the initial benefits of restructuring.
