Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2026 – Malaysia’s official reserve assets stood at US$132.56 billion at the end of June, providing a stronger external buffer as global currency and commodity markets remained volatile. The figure offers investors a detailed view of the resources available to support monetary and financial stability.
International reserves are held and managed by the central bank, with the portfolio including foreign-currency assets, gold, special drawing rights and the country’s reserve position at the International Monetary Fund. The broader reserve level reached about US$132.6 billion at 30 June, up from US$130.5 billion in the middle of the month.
