Singapore Adds S$900 Million Support as Energy Costs Pressure Households

Singapore, 29 July 2026 – Singapore is providing an additional S$900 million support package for households and businesses as high energy prices linked to Middle East uncertainty increase pressure on utilities, transport and operating costs.

Every Singaporean household is set to receive another S$300 in Community Development Council vouchers in January 2027. The additional vouchers come on top of a previously announced tranche that was brought forward, reinforcing the government’s use of targeted spending support through neighbourhood merchants, hawkers and supermarkets.
