London, 27 July 2026 – Tesla has secured a significant victory at the United Kingdom’s Supreme Court, reviving its attempt to have English courts determine fair licensing terms for standard-essential 5G patents used in connected vehicles.
The dispute involves US wireless-technology company InterDigital and Avanci Vehicle, a licensing platform that combines patents held by multiple owners into a single automotive licence.
