Kuala Lumpur, 23 July 2026 – Malaysia and Hong Kong have strengthened their capital market partnership after signing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that expands cross-border investment opportunities, introduces a simplified dual initial public offering (IPO) listing framework and broadens the mutual recognition of investment funds between the two financial centres.
The agreement was signed between the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), marking one of the most significant regulatory cooperation initiatives between the two jurisdictions in recent years.
