Huawei Targets 20% Smartphone Growth Despite Global Memory Crunch

Shenzhen, 14 July 2026 – Huawei Technologies is targeting approximately 20% growth in smartphone shipments this year, setting an ambitious course against a global market weakened by memory-chip shortages, higher component costs and falling consumer demand.

The privately held Chinese technology group has communicated the growth objective to parts of its supply chain, according to people familiar with its production planning. Huawei has not publicly confirmed a shipment target.
