Taipei, 30 June 2026 – Taiwanese authorities have reportedly raided the Taiwan offices of Supermicro as part of an investigation into the alleged smuggling of Nvidia artificial intelligence chips to China, highlighting the growing enforcement pressure surrounding advanced semiconductor supply chains.
The investigation comes as governments intensify scrutiny over the movement of high-performance chips, servers and AI infrastructure components. These technologies have become strategically sensitive because they support advanced computing, large language models, cloud infrastructure and military-adjacent applications.
