Government Intensifies Measures to Cushion Malaysia From Global Supply Crisis

Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2026 – The government has intensified measures to mitigate the impact of the global supply crisis, with 120 decisions made by the National Economic Action Council either already implemented or currently being carried out.

Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said 27 of the decisions have been fully implemented, while the remaining 93 are in progress. The measures are aimed at protecting the public, supporting micro, small and medium enterprises, ensuring the continued supply of essential goods and safeguarding Malaysia’s economic stability.
