GXBank CEO Says People, Not Technology Alone, Will Define Malaysia’s Digital Banking Race

Kuala Lumpur, 10 June 2026 – GXBank chief executive officer Kaushik Chowdhury believes Malaysia’s digital banking race will not be won by technology alone, but by teams that are deeply committed to serving the country’s underserved communities.

Chowdhury said the bank’s real advantage lies in its people, describing GXBank’s workforce as its most defensible moat. While digital tools, data and the Grab ecosystem have helped the bank scale quickly, he said its mission-driven culture remains central to how GXBank designs products, assesses risk and serves customers who may have been overlooked by traditional banking models.
