Hannah Yeoh Pushes KL Reform Agenda With Focus on Green Spaces, Flood Resilience and Liveability

Kuala Lumpur, 9 June 2026 – Kuala Lumpur’s next stage of urban development must be built around transparency, liveability, climate resilience and meaningful public spaces, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Federal Territories YB Hannah Yeoh said at Invest Malaysia 2026.

Speaking during a session titled Building Sustainable Cities and Communities, moderated by BFM 89.9 presenter and producer Lee Chwi Lynn, Yeoh outlined a wide-ranging reform agenda for Kuala Lumpur and the wider Federal Territories, covering development approvals, flood mitigation, green-space protection, walkability, business licensing, public facilities and governance reform.
