Kuala Lumpur, 22 May 2026 – Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad returned to profitability in its third quarter ended 31 March 2026, posting a net profit of RM80.1 million against a net loss of RM116.0 million in the corresponding quarter a year earlier, as stronger realised oil prices supported the upstream oil and gas group’s earnings recovery.
The Main Market-listed energy company recorded quarterly revenue of RM517.8 million, compared with RM572.8 million in the previous corresponding quarter. Despite the lower revenue, the Group’s bottom line improved significantly, reflecting the absence of the heavy tax-related impact that weighed on its 3QFY25 results. Earnings per share stood at 10.86 sen, compared with a loss per share of 15.4 sen previously.
