KWAP Appoints Jay Khairil Jeremy Abdullah as New CEO, Signalling Next Phase for Public Pension Fund

Kuala Lumpur, 11 May 2026 – Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), Malaysia’s public-sector pension fund, has appointed Dato’ Jay Khairil Jeremy Abdullah as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 20 May 2026, marking a leadership transition at one of the country’s key institutional investment bodies.

Jay Khairil, who formerly led Bank Simpanan Nasional, will take over from Datuk Nik Amlizan Mohamed, who has served as KWAP’s CEO since 2020. KWAP said the new CEO will lead the organisation’s strategic direction, operations and institutional priorities as it continues its mandate as Malaysia’s retirement fund for the public sector.
