AWC Secures RM26.6 Million Waste Management Contracts Across Malaysia and Singapore, FY26 Wins Reach RM450 Million

Subang Jaya, 6 February 2026 – Main Market-listed engineering services provider AWC Berhad has secured RM26.6 million in automated pneumatic waste collection system (AWCS) contracts across Malaysia and Singapore, strengthening its Environment Division’s position in key regional markets.

The contracts were awarded to AWC’s subsidiaries under Stream Group Sdn Bhd, Stream Environment Sdn Bhd and Stream Environment (S) Pte. Ltd., involving the design, build and operation of advanced pneumatic waste collection infrastructure for urban developments and public facilities.

These latest project wins bring AWC’s cumulative major contract awards for FY2026 to approximately RM450 million, providing strong earnings visibility and reinforcing its growth trajectory.

Expanding Presence in Malaysia and Singapore

Group CEO and President Dato’ Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said the contracts reflect continued client confidence in AWC’s technical capabilities, particularly in highly regulated environments such as Singapore’s public infrastructure sector.

“One of the projects involves the delivery of an AWCS for a public facility in Singapore, underscoring the confidence placed in our technical expertise and ability to meet stringent operational requirements,” he said.

He added that the Environment Division remains one of the leading global players in automated waste collection systems, having previously delivered landmark projects including the AWCS installation at Merdeka 118, the world’s tallest building equipped with such infrastructure.

Sustainability and Urbanisation Drive Demand

AWC expects continued demand growth for automated waste management solutions as urban centres prioritise sustainability, efficiency and environmental standards. Pneumatic waste collection systems offer significant advantages over traditional waste management, including:

  • Reduced reliance on manual waste collection
  • Improved hygiene and environmental outcomes
  • Lower urban congestion and operational costs
  • Enhanced efficiency in high-density developments

The increasing adoption of sustainable urban infrastructure and stricter environmental regulations are expected to drive further opportunities in Malaysia and Singapore.

Strong Earnings Visibility and Long-Term Growth

The projects are scheduled to commence in January 2026 and are expected to be completed by August 2029, contributing progressively to AWC’s earnings over the contract period.

With RM450 million in total contract wins secured for FY2026 to date, AWC remains well-positioned to capitalise on rising demand for smart urban infrastructure and sustainable waste management solutions across Southeast Asia.
