Singapore, 22 January 2026 — Singapore’s Changi Airport recorded an all-time high of 69.98 million passengers in 2025, surpassing pre-pandemic figures and marking robust travel demand.
Passenger movements at Changi, one of Asia’s busiest aviation hubs, rose 3.4 per cent from 2024, driven by expanded flight connectivity and strong demand across major regional markets.
Top Passenger Markets and Growth
According to the Changi Airport Group, the leading source markets for passenger traffic in 2025 were:
- China — the largest traffic contributor, with robust year-on-year growth and the strongest overall market share.
- Indonesia — ranked as the second-largest market, supported by expanded route links and rising travel demand.
- Malaysia — one of the top three contributors to passenger volumes at Changi, underscoring strong cross-border travel within Southeast Asia.
Other significant markets included Australia and India, while Vietnam and Japan also posted notable growth in passenger movements.
Busiest Routes and Network Expansion
Changi’s busiest routes for the year included services to and from Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Denpasar (Bali) and Hong Kong — reflecting strong regional travel patterns.
The airport also added a record 13 new city links in 2025, expanding its global connectivity footprint, including new destinations in China, Indonesia, Malaysia and India.
Operational Highlights
Changi saw 374,000 aircraft movements in 2025, up 2.2 per cent year-on-year, and handled 2.08 million tonnes of air freight, a record performance supported by broad-based cargo demand.
The busiest month was December 2025, with 6.3 million passenger movements, and the single most active day was 20 December, the Saturday before Christmas, when over 223,000 travellers passed through the airport.
Outlook
