KUALA LUMPUR, 14 January 2026 — Guan Huat Seng Holdings Berhad (“GHS Holdings”), a Melaka-based distributor and retailer of food products as well as a manufacturer of flavouring products, has seen its initial public offering (IPO) oversubscribed by 4.78 times, reflecting solid investor appetite ahead of its upcoming listing on the ACE Market.

The Company announced that the public portion of its IPO attracted 2,842 applications for 137.6 million shares, against 23.8 million shares made available to the Malaysian public.

GHS Holdings is scheduled to be listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ACE Market on 22 January 2026.

Strong Retail Demand Across Public Tranches

The oversubscription was driven largely by strong interest from non-Bumiputera retail investors. Under the Bumiputera public portion, 649 applications were received for 35.2 million shares, representing an oversubscription rate of 1.96 times. Meanwhile, the other Malaysian public tranche received 2,193 applications for 102.4 million shares, translating into a significantly higher oversubscription rate of 7.61 times.

Proceeds to Fund Expansion in Melaka

Commenting on the strong public response, Yeo Tien Ee, Managing Director of GHS Holdings, said the level of subscription reflects investor recognition of the Group’s operating track record and expansion strategy.

“We are grateful for the interest shown by investors in GHS Holdings,” he said. “The public subscription reflects recognition of our established track record, diversified product portfolio and expansion plans.”

Proceeds from the IPO will be channelled primarily toward the construction of the Group’s New Integrated Complex and New Krubong Facility in Melaka, as well as the expansion of production and storage capacity. These initiatives are expected to enhance operational efficiency and support the Group’s medium- to long-term growth trajectory.

Positioned for Scalable Growth

With its integrated operations spanning food distribution, retail and flavouring manufacturing, GHS Holdings is positioning itself to benefit from resilient domestic consumption trends and increasing demand for value-added food products. Market observers note that the Group’s planned capacity expansion could strengthen margins and improve supply chain efficiency over time.
