UNITED STATES, 17 October 2025 – Singer Zayn Malik has publicly thanked BLACKPINK’s Jisoo for collaborating with him on their new song, “Eyes Closed,” joking that she has made him the “coolest dad” around.
The former One Direction star worked with the K-pop idol on the new ballad and later wrote on Instagram that he “loved every part of this collaboration.”
Malik, who is a father to a five-year-old daughter, Khai, said his “cool collaborator” earned him major appreciation points from his child.
The duet was highly anticipated. Jisoo had sparked rumors by sharing a promo image for the song that featured the silhouette of a mystery singer, writing, “A duet is near.”
Malik had also teased a coming song with a “cool collaborator.” The collaboration, “Eyes Closed,” is Jisoo’s first new music since she released her debut mini-album, Amortage, earlier this year.
Malik, 32, has promised that his fifth solo album will arrive next year and will feature a mix of pop, R&B, and South Asian influences, including some songs in Urdu.
