Beijing, China, 12 August 2026 – A venture fund backed by Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp has invested in domestic semiconductor manufacturer SOI Micro, strengthening China’s effort to develop an alternative chipmaking ecosystem around fully depleted silicon-on-insulator technology.
YMTC is China’s leading producer of NAND flash memory. Its involvement comes through the Wuhan-based Changcun Industry Investment Fund, which appeared as a new shareholder after a recent corporate-registration change at SOI Micro.
