Wall Street Extends Rally as Nvidia Jump and Tech Momentum Lift S&P 500, Nasdaq to Fresh Records

New York, 15 May 2026 – Wall Street ended higher on Thursday as technology stocks led another rally, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite closing at fresh record highs while investors watched high-stakes talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 370.26 points, or 0.75%, to 50,063.46. The S&P 500 gained 56.99 points, or 0.77%, to 7,501.24, while the Nasdaq Composite advanced 232.88 points, or 0.88%, to 26,635.22. The Dow finished just 0.3% below its all-time closing high reached in February.
