Bangkok, Thailand, 17 August 2026 – Thai equities are entering a data-heavy week with domestic growth figures, United States monetary signals and geopolitical risk likely to determine whether the market can extend recent gains or retreat from resistance.
Kasikorn Securities expects the Stock Exchange of Thailand Index to trade between support at 1,585 and 1,560 points and resistance at 1,620 and 1,630 during the week of 17–21 August. The range frames a market that has recovered with regional technology shares but remains sensitive to foreign capital flows and global risk sentiment.
