Jakarta, 31 July 2026 – Telkom Indonesia is weighing a sale of its venture-capital arm, which manages about US$830 million, as state-linked companies reassess capital allocation and portfolio ownership. A transaction could unlock value, but it would also reshape how Indonesia’s largest telecom group participates in the technology start-up ecosystem.
MDI Ventures has provided Telkom with exposure to digital businesses beyond connectivity, including enterprise software, fintech and consumer platforms. Strategic venture investing can generate financial returns while helping a corporate parent identify technologies and partnerships.
