Taylor Swift may be the world’s biggest pop star, but even she isn’t above a little tongue-twisting warm-up before hitting the mic. In a lighthearted behind-the-scenes clip from the New Heights podcast—shared on Wednesday (Aug 20)—Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, got loose with some old-school vocal drills that had fans cracking up.
The outtake came just days after Swift’s record-breaking Aug 13 podcast appearance, where she revealed details about her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl (dropping Oct 3). To keep the fun going, the Kelce brothers posted bloopers of their pre-show prep, captioned: “Everyone knows you should always warm up before doing a podcast.”
The clip opens with Travis hamming it up, dramatically yelling, “Oh my gosh, Jason!” while his brother Jason Kelce carefully practices the classic announcer’s line, “ow now brown cow.” Soon, both brothers are caught in a split screen tackling the tricky “Unique, New York” drill.
Enter Taylor. The camera zooms in as she nails a singer’s lip trill—her voice sliding up and down—leaving Jason visibly impressed. Before he can even comment, Travis jumps in with a booming, “I’M REALLY EXCITED!!!” sending everyone into laughter.
And it’s a good thing she warmed up—because Swift powered through a two-hour episode where she not only dished about her new music, but also opened up with Travis about their first date, love story, and her emotional journey reclaiming her album masters.
Between record-breaking announcements and silly vocal warm-ups, Swifties got exactly what they love: a superstar being both relatable and larger than life.
