Taipei, Taiwan, 18 August 2026 – South Korea’s three major telecom operators generated more than KRW1 trillion in combined artificial-intelligence data-centre revenue in the first half of 2026, highlighting the rapid commercial pull of AI computing demand.
The reported total is equivalent to roughly US$706 million at prevailing exchange rates, not US$706 billion. The distinction matters because it places the figure in the scale of a major infrastructure business while avoiding an order-of-magnitude error that could distort comparisons with global cloud providers.
