Singapore, 16 August 2026 – Singapore has raised its 2026 economic growth forecast to 4.5%–5.5% after stronger first-half activity, with artificial-intelligence demand supporting electronics, precision engineering and trade-related services.
The economy expanded 5.9% year on year in the second quarter in the latest full estimate. Earlier advance data showed manufacturing growth led by semiconductors and equipment used in AI infrastructure.
