Kuala Lumpur, 7 October 2026 – Sarena Cheah, executive deputy chair of Sunway Group, has been placed among Asia’s most influential businesswomen in a regional ranking that also draws attention to the Malaysian conglomerate’s leadership transition and overseas expansion strategy.
Cheah was ranked 92nd on the 2026 list of 100 business leaders drawn from 14 Asia-Pacific markets. The ranking assesses leadership, business performance and influence, and this year’s cohort reflects the growing weight of technology, finance and advanced manufacturing across the region. Malaysia contributed five names to the list, giving the country representation within a competitive field of senior corporate executives and founders.
