UNITED STATES, 08 October 2025 – Zelda Williams, the daughter of the late, famous actor and comedian Robin Williams, is pleading with fans to stop sending her videos created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) that feature her father.
Zelda, a filmmaker herself, used her social media to tell people that these AI-generated videos are “gross” and “maddening” to watch.
She explained that she does not want to see these digital copies of her father, who passed away in 2014.
“Please, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it’s not what he’d want.” said by Zelda on her recent Instagram stories.

Zelda condemned the use of AI to bring back the likeness of deceased people who cannot give their permission.
She described the AI videos as not being “art,” but rather “disgusting, over-processed hotdogs” that disrespect the legacies of real human beings.
She has asked people to stop calling AI the “future,” saying it is just “badly recycling and regurgitating the past.”
This is not the first time Zelda has spoken out. She previously criticized the use of AI tools to recreate her father’s famous voice, calling it “personally disturbing” and harmful to the acting industry.
