Rakyat Digital Expansion Opens AI Access to 100,000 Malaysian Youths

Kuala Lumpur, 12 August 2026 – Malaysia has expanded its Rakyat Digital learning portal with a programme that will give 100,000 young people three months of complimentary access to leading generative artificial intelligence applications, linking public digital education with the country’s AI Nation 2030 ambition.

The upgraded portal brings several government learning initiatives under a single account and is organised around awareness, access and adoption. Malaysians can use foundational modules covering digital literacy, responsible AI and cybersecurity, while eligible participants aged 18 to 30 can qualify for the generative AI access programme after completing selected courses.
