Los Angeles, 15 August 2026 – Pixar has unveiled Ghost Market, an original animated feature inspired by Asian myths about supernatural bazaars where the living and the dead interact, adding a culturally rooted property to the studio’s theatrical pipeline for 2028.
The project was introduced at Disney’s D23 fan event after earlier reports referred to it by the working title Ono. The film is now scheduled for cinemas in 2028, with Disney holding 10 March for a Pixar release that year. The announcement gives exhibitors and consumer-products partners an early signal of the studio’s content calendar while the final commercial plan continues to develop.
