Kuala Lumpur, 7 October 2026 – Malaysia’s National Integrated Immigration System is being enhanced to obtain real-time information from domestic and international agencies, placing border screening, data governance and operational resilience at the centre of the country’s digital public-infrastructure agenda.
The Home Ministry said the system, known as NIISe, would support real-time data sharing with organisations including Interpol, the police, the Prisons Department and the Inland Revenue Board. Other government databases may also contribute to decisions on travellers entering or leaving Malaysia. The objective is to replace fragmented checks with faster risk assessment and a more complete view of information relevant to immigration enforcement.
