Newcleo to List on Nasdaq in US$2.4 Billion Deal as Nuclear Power Rides AI Energy Demand

Milan, 27 May 2026 – Nuclear energy company Newcleo is set to list on the Nasdaq through a merger with NewHold Investment Corp III, in a deal that values the advanced reactor developer at about US$2.4 billion and highlights growing investor appetite for next-generation nuclear power.

The company, founded in 2021 by Italian physicist Stefano Buono, is developing advanced modular lead-cooled fast reactors and nuclear fuel made from reprocessed nuclear material. The planned transaction is expected to provide up to US$429 million in gross proceeds and is targeted to close in the second half of 2026.
