Netskope Lifts IPO Price Range, Targets US$7.3 Billion Valuation

By Steven Tech3 min read

New York, 16 September 2025 — U.S. cybersecurity firm Netskope is moving closer to one of the year’s most closely watched listings, after raising the price range for its initial public offering (IPO). The company now seeks to raise as much as US$908 million, a move that could give it a valuation of around US$7.26 billion, highlighting strong investor demand for cybersecurity stocks amid escalating digital threats worldwide.

According to its revised filing, Netskope plans to sell nearly 47.8 million shares at between US$17 and US$19 per share, up from an earlier range of US$15 to US$17. At the top end of the new band, the IPO would value Netskope almost on par with its 2021 private funding round that pegged the company at US$7.5 billion, suggesting that its growth narrative continues to resonate with investors despite persistent losses.

Financially, Netskope has shown signs of narrowing its deficits while sustaining growth. For the six months ended 31 July 2025, revenue rose to US$328 million, compared with US$251 million in the same period last year. Net loss shrank to US$170 million from US$207 million a year earlier, reflecting the company’s efforts to move closer toward profitability without curbing investment in its core business lines.

Netskope operates within the fast-growing Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) segment, a technology framework that blends networking and cloud-based security. SASE has become increasingly important as companies adopt hybrid work models and face greater pressure to safeguard sensitive data from sophisticated cyberattacks. In this space, Netskope competes with established giants including Broadcom, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Zscaler, but has built a reputation for being among the more innovative challengers in cloud security.

The IPO comes at a time when cybersecurity companies are attracting heightened interest on Wall Street, driven by surging demand for cloud-native security and AI-driven defenses. Netskope’s decision to lift its price range signals confidence not only in its own market position but also in investors’ willingness to pay a premium for exposure to the sector. Analysts note that strong execution in this IPO could serve as a bellwether for other cybersecurity firms eyeing the public markets.

Still, risks remain. Netskope continues to operate at a loss, and questions linger about whether the company can achieve sustainable profitability in a sector known for intense competition and fast-shifting technology. The high valuation also raises pressure for the firm to deliver rapid growth post-listing. Investor scrutiny will be keen in the weeks ahead, as many will be watching whether Netskope can sustain momentum once the initial market excitement fades.

For now, the company’s upward revision of its IPO price band reflects a wave of optimism not just about Netskope’s trajectory but also about the broader cybersecurity industry. As businesses and governments worldwide struggle with escalating data breaches and AI-driven threats, the demand for robust cloud security appears unlikely to abate. Netskope’s market debut is poised to test whether investor enthusiasm for cybersecurity can translate into lasting confidence on the trading floor.
