Hsinchu, 31 July 2026 – MediaTek plans to arrange US$5 billion in financing for its data-centre chip ambitions, signalling that the Taiwanese semiconductor designer is prepared to commit substantial capital to a market dominated by larger global rivals. MediaTek built its scale in smartphone, connectivity and consumer-electronics chips.
