Kuala Lumpur, 2 October 2026 – MBSB Bank has provided RM66.35 million in financing facilities to GO Energy Sdn Bhd for solar photovoltaic projects spanning university campuses and fuel retail sites in Malaysia. The allocation links renewable-energy deployment with a practical financial proposition: on-site generation can reduce exposure to future electricity tariffs while creating more predictable operating costs.
Of the total, RM63.3 million will part-finance self-consumption solar systems at 13 Universiti Teknologi Mara campuses. A further RM3.05 million will support rooftop installations at 35 BHPetrol stations. The distinction is important. These are financing facilities for two defined project groups, not a single payment already spent, and the larger campus component accounts for most of the commitment.
