Kuala Lumpur, 7 October 2026 – Malaysia’s palm oil exports exceeded 10.4 million tonnes in the first eight months of 2026, rising 8.2% year on year as the industry broadens its overseas market presence and seeks more value from research-led products.

The figures, disclosed by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council at the Malaysian Palm Oil Forum in Kuala Lumpur, accompany a renewed push to connect international buyers with domestic suppliers. More than 100 buyers from over 20 countries are participating in a trade networking programme, while more than 400 individual business meetings are scheduled through MPOC BizMatch on 8 October. These are opportunities to negotiate business, rather than confirmed export orders.
