Malaysia’s MY Value Up Push Seeks to Rebuild Market Confidence Through Board Accountability

Kuala Lumpur, 9 June 2026 – Malaysia’s capital market must move beyond low valuations and focus on stronger board accountability, disciplined capital allocation and clearer investor communication if it wants to attract long-term global capital, speakers said at Invest Malaysia 2026.

During a panel titled MY Value Up: Reframing Board Accountability, Stewardship and Market Confidence, Bursa Malaysia chief executive officer Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed moderated a discussion with Securities Commission Malaysia executive chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi, Permodalan Nasional Bhd acting president and group chief executive Dato’ Rizal Rickman Ramli, and MSCI Research & Development managing director Raman Aylur Subramanian.
