Kuala Lumpur, 10 July 2026 – Malaysia’s economy is projected to grow 4.7% in 2026, supported by data centre activity and the upturn in the global technology cycle, according to the International Monetary Fund.

The projection points to continued resilience in Malaysia’s growth outlook as the country benefits from rising investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, digital technology, cloud computing and semiconductor-linked activity.
