Malaysia’s AI Untuk Rakyat programme will provide 100,000 youths with free AI tools and structured learning through the Rakyat Digital portal.

Putrajaya, 30 August 2026 – Malaysia will launch the AI Untuk Rakyat programme on 31 August, giving up to 100,000 citizens aged between 18 and 30 free access to selected artificial intelligence tools and structured digital learning through the new Rakyat Digital portal.

The programme, announced by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the 2026 National Day address at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, is one of six government initiatives aimed at opening more digital opportunities for Malaysians.
