Shanghai, 12 May 2026 – Malaysia is positioning palm oil as a strategic driver of future industrial growth with China, as both countries deepen cooperation across downstream processing, innovation, sustainability and high-value palm-based applications.
The message was reinforced at the Malaysian Palm Oil Forum China 2026 in Shanghai, hosted by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council and led by Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad. The forum brought together industry leaders, manufacturers, buyers, investors and trade associations from Malaysia and China to explore new opportunities across the palm oil value chain.
